Artwork source: public-domain originals from museum and library collections — each print's own page names its source. Reproduced in full from archival scans — not redrawn, not AI-generated.

For the little one whose first room opens onto the woods - a stag at the lake, two hares near a village chapel and a lone wolf below the pines, from the same Mainz print shop as our best-loved animal set. Each sheet is a hand-colored lithograph published by the Joseph Scholz print shop in Mainz, Germany (between about 1829 and 1880), and keeps its original caption with the animal's name. Choose one size and every print arrives in that size, on the same paper, with the same margin.

This is the second set from the same Scholz series as our Vintage Animal Print sets with Giraffes, Kangaroo and Joey, Brown Bear, Polar Bear and Beavers - hang them together for a larger matching gallery wall.

What you get

• 200gsm matte poster paper, archival inks
• Printed with a paper-tone margin where needed to keep each full original sheet - nothing is cropped
• Unframed - fits standard frames
• All prints are made together and ship in one parcel
