Artwork source: Public domain (Christ Preaching (La Petite Tombe) by Rembrandt, c. 1657) - The Metropolitan Museum of Art object 371733, Open Access · View the original. Reproduced in full from an archival scan of the public-domain original — not redrawn, not AI-generated.

Christ stands on a low step with his hands raised, teaching a crowd that gathers close around him - men and women young and old, a child lying on the ground in front, listening. Rembrandt etched this scene around 1657; it is known as La Petite Tombe. This print reproduces the original, now in the public domain, from a high-resolution open-access image by The Metropolitan Museum of Art (object 371733), with the tone and texture of the old paper kept.

Why you'll love it
• One of Rembrandt's best-loved etchings of Christ teaching
• Strong contrast of light and shadow on warm paper
• Pairs with our other Rembrandt Bible etchings for a matching gallery wall
