Artwork source: Public domain (watercolor on vellum, Pierre-Joseph Redoute, 1802-16; artist d. 1840) - National Gallery of Art, 2023 gift, Open Access · View the original. Reproduced in full from an archival scan of the public-domain original — not redrawn, not AI-generated.

For the one who plants bulbs every fall and waits - nodding white narcissus blooms above a single bulb, with pencil studies beside them, in a redoute flower print from Les Liliacees (1802-16). It reproduces Redoute's watercolor on vellum, painted for Empress Josephine's garden at Malmaison and now in the public domain, from a high-resolution open-access image by the National Gallery of Art.

Why you'll love it
• Delicate white and pale green - a quiet, airy piece
• Bulb and root drawn with the flower
• Completes the Redoute set of five
