For the one whose garden is all about leaves and light - a small yellow iris rises from long, sweeping blades in this minimalist botanical print, Pierre-Joseph Redoute's Iris curtopetala from Les Liliacees (1802-16). It reproduces Redoute's watercolor on vellum, painted for Empress Josephine's garden at Malmaison and now in the public domain, from a high-resolution open-access image by the National Gallery of Art.
Why you'll love it
• Mostly green and airy - easy to hang in any palette
