Artwork source: Public domain ([Cat], attributed to Ando Hiroshige, ca. 1840) - Library of Congress item 2005678556 · View the original. Reproduced in full from an archival scan of the public-domain original — not redrawn, not AI-generated.

A tiny gray-and-white kitten with a red bow chases a long red ribbon across an almost empty cream page, under the corner of a bamboo blind. The Library of Congress attributes this light, airy picture to Utagawa Hiroshige, around 1840. This print reproduces the original, now in the public domain, from a high-resolution scan by the Library of Congress.
