A blue finch sits on a tall stem beside a single red camellia flower and glossy green leaves, above a soft blue band, with a poem brushed in the sky. Utagawa Hiroshige made this color woodblock print around 1840. This print reproduces the original, now in the public domain, from a high-resolution open-access image by The Metropolitan Museum of Art (object 36730).
