Japanese Woodblock Cat Print - Beauty Holding a Cat by Eisen

A young woman in a dark kimono scattered with golden flowers lifts a small cat to her shoulder, a red ribbon in her hair and a soft smile on her face. Keisai Eisen made this tall color woodblock print around 1843-1846. This print reproduces the original, now in the public domain, from a high-resolution scan by the Library of Congress.
