A woman in a flowing pale gown raises a glass of green absinthe, framed by the swirling halo and whiplash lines of Belgian Art Nouveau. Henri Privat-Livemont designed this poster for Absinthe Robette in 1896, at the height of the Belle Époque poster craze in Paris and Brussels. This print reproduces the original color lithograph from the Library of Congress's public-domain scan.
